2 killed, dozens injured as bus collides with truck in Bihar

As many as two persons were killed and dozens injured when a bus, carrying around 45 passengers, collided with a truck in Bihar's Katihar district on Wednesday. The bus was going to Siliguri from Muzaffarpur via Katihar.

Katihar (Bihar): Two persons were killed and dozens injured when a bus collided with a truck in Bihar's Katihar district on Wednesday.

The incident happened on NH-31 near Dumar village when the bus, carrying around 45 passengers, was going to Siliguri from Muzaffarpur via Katihar.

According to sources the driver and conductor of the bus died on the spot and the injured were taken to the nearest hospital.

Talking about the accident one of the passengers said, "The driver was driving in a very rash manner. The conductor even told him to drive slow but he didn't listen him and continued driving in the same way."

It is to be noted that the collision was so massive that the front portion of the bus was badly damaged.

बस ओर ट्रक में भिड़न्त, चालक व खलासी की मौके पर मौत, दर्जनों यात्री घायल, पोठिया ओपी के एनएच-31 डूमर के पास की घटना, मुज्जफरपुर से सिलीगुड़ी जा रही थी नाईट सर्विस ऐटियान बस, पुलिस घटना स्थल पर मौजूद।Body:कटिहार में एक बड़ा भीषण सड़क हादसा हुई है पोठीया ओपी थाना क्षेत्र के एनएच 31 डूमर के पास में रात के लगभग 3 बजे यह हादसा हुई है। बताया जा रहा है बस मुजफ्फरपुर से सिलीगुड़ी जा रही थे। एटीयान एक्सप्रेस बस में लगभग 40 से 45 यात्री सवार थे और सभी पूर्णिया, किशनगंज और सिलीगुड़ी जा रहे थे।

जानकारी अनुसार तेज गति से चल रहे बस कटिहार के डूमर के पास खड़ी बालू लदे ट्रक में जोरदार टक्कर मारी जिससे घटनास्थल पर ही बस ड्राइवर और खलासी की मौत हो गई है वहीं दर्जनों यात्री घायल बताए जा रहे हैं। फिलहाल घायलों को पूर्णिया और भागलपुर इलाज के लिए भेजा गया है। वही दोनों मृतकों का शव बरामद कर लिया गया है।Conclusion:बस यात्री हैदर अली बताते हैं मुजफ्फरपुर से बस सिलीगुड़ी जा रही थी लेकिन बस ड्राइवर तेज रफ्तार से गाड़ी चला रहा था बार-बार कहने के बावजूद वह किसी की न सुना अंततः बस ड्राइवर ने बालू लदे ट्रक ने जोरदार टक्कर मार दी जिससे घटनास्थल पर ही 2 लोगों की मौत हो गई है बाकी दर्जनों लोग घायल है। फिलहाल पोटिया पुलिस घटनास्थल पर पहुंच चुकी है और पूरे मामले की छानबीन कर रहा है।
