Ahatguri (Assam): BJP president Amit Shah on Friday asked Rahul Gandhi to clear stand on National Conference Omar Abdullah's separate Prime Minister in Kashmir demand and said that, though Modi will return to power, they would "put their lives at stake and not allow it at any cost", even if they were in the opposition.

Attacking Congress for raising doubts over Balakot airstrikes, Shah said that after Prime Minister directed Air Force to enter Pakistan and destroy terrorist camps to avenge Pulwama attack, "there was an atmosphere of mourning in two places-- Pakistan, which is understandable and the other in Congress camp at a time when entire country was celebrating."

The BJP president claimed that the NRC was a major step taken by Modi during the last five years to drive out illegal migrants from Assam and said, "Give Prime Minister Narendra Modi another five years, BJP will find out each illegal migrant and throw them out of the state".

"Insaan bhi kya, parinde bhi nahi aa payenge (Forget about people, even birds cannot enter)", he said. Abdullah had recently made a statement that ''Kashmir must have a separate Prime Minister.....Can a country have two Prime Ministers? The Congress is silent on this'', Shah said at an election rally here in this central Assam town.

''I want to ask Rahul Baba whether Congress supports this statement of Abdullah. I know he does not have the courage to say anything on this as it requires the guts to speak on it'', he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will form the government again, but if in any case, ''We are in the opposition and they plan to materialise Abdullah's proposal, then 'hum jaan ki baazi laaga denge' (we will put our lives at stake) and not allow it at any cost'', he said.

''Kashmir will always remain a part of the country and we cannot allow it to have a separate Prime Minister'', he said.

Elections are also being held in Kashmir where a National Conference member, an alliance partner of the Congress, has declared that it is his right to give the slogan 'Pakistan Zindabad'.

''Can we tolerate this?'', he commented. ''I want to ask Rahul Baba to answer the nation whether he agrees with this'', he added.

''I want to send a message to Rahul baba that it may be your policy to talk with terrorists but it is not BJP's. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's principle is ''wahan se goli aayegi, yahaan se gola jayega'' (if we are attacked by a bullet, we will reply with cannon balls. Bricks will be answered with rocks)'', the BJP president asserted.

He also said that the Prime Minister's biggest achievement has been to strengthen the security of the nation.

''There was ten years of Congress government at the centre with Manmohan Singh, whom you had sent from Assam, as the Prime Minister. There were unabated incursions from Pakistan......jawans were attacked and beheaded but he did nothing and remained silent'', he added.

''Can the Congress keep the nation, give a fitting reply to the enemies. If not, then why vote for Congress'', he asked.

He asserted that the NDA has a clear and strong leader in Narendra Modi but the opposition is still not decided who will be their Prime Minister.

The BJP during the last five years has also begun the work of implementing Clause 6 of the Assam Accord to protect the culture, heritage, traditions and language of the indigenous people of the state.

''A committee has been already set up by the Prime Minister and the recommendations will be put forward within six months'', Shah added.

"The youths of Assam had agitated for six years and many students were martyred till the Assam Accord was signed in 1985 but since then the successive governments did not take any concrete steps to implement the various clauses of the Accord," he alleged.

''Even in Gujarat, we used to hear 'Assam ki galiyon suni hain, Indira Gandhi khuni hain' (The lanes of Assam are silent, Indira Gandhi is a killer)'', he added.

The BJP president claimed that after the party came to power in the state illegal migrants were thrown out of Kaziranga National Park and rhino poaching became non-existent.

He said that in Assam, the Congress and Badruddin Ajmal's AIUDF have an understanding and 'during the day they fight and at night they do 'ILU, ILU' (wording in a Hindi film song referring to the expression I love You). It is their old tactics and it is now for you to decide whether you are with the nation or with Badruddin''.
