ITDA's products to be sold via Amazon

In a bid to promote whole grain products and a healthy lifestyle, Andhra Pradesh's tribal women have collaborated with the world's one of the largest e-commerce websites Amazon to sell the same. The entrepreneurship journey has set an example and soon their products will pave the way on Amazon’s global marketplace.

Andhra Pradesh: In what can be described as a notable achievement, Andhra Pradesh's tribal women, who are mostly school dropouts have collaborated with the world's one of the largest e-commerce websites Amazon to sell their whole-grain food products.

Apart from providing quality and healthy products to the countrymen, they are also becoming a part of and benefit from India’s booming digital economy.

A manufacturing unit that was established three years ago in association with the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), trained around 20 women to produce nutritional biscuits and powder with whole grain wheat and sprouts.

In a bid to promote whole grain products and a healthy lifestyle, ITDA started the unit in which the team was not only trained to manufacture the food products but also how to market them.

Following the training, the women themselves marketed the products in the local markets of Bhubaneswar, Chhattisgarh, Vizag, and Vijayawada and fetched an appropriate price for the same.

Ragi, millets, sausages, soy, pesos, laxatives, glitter, oats and jaggery are formed into a variety of biscuits including sugar-free biscuits, biscuits for diabetic patients among others.

The food products are manufactured by dividing women into two teams who produce biscuits that have high nutritional value.

According to tribal women, whole grain products are helpful in improving health and are also making them financially-equipped.

Tribals are previously only limited to forest. But now they are selling their products on Amazon. They are in lack of literacy but  making food products with whole grains.

Whole grains are flavored in today's society in the form of biscuits and powders. By making quality products to beat corporate companies to expanding their business. Apart from providing healthy food to the community, special article on tribal people who are on the path to economic growth.

Tribal women who are away from the civilized world .. are providing health to the civilized world. Foods are made with whole grains. Not just to produce them.. but to rise to the level of online sales. They are becoming job holders by manufacture of cereal biscuits and nutritional powders. These cereal biscuits and powders are made with emphasis on the health of civilized people. Tribal women are making biscuits and nutritious powders in the range of ITDA under KR Puram ITDA. The unit is set up three years ago with training provided by ITDA. These biscuits were made with 20 tribal women. Making biscuits and powders with Just whole grains. Copper and sorghum biscuits are being prepared. Nutritional powders are made with whole grain sprouts. Ragi, millets, sausages, soy, pesos, laxatives, glitter, oats and jaggery are used to make biscuits.

Sugar-free, canned, jaggery biscuits are made in a variety of ways. Ragi, coconuts and sorghum biscuits are specially made. Three types of biscuits and nutritious powder are produced. Specialty biscuits are also made for patients with diabetes. These are produced by women who have split into two groups. These snack biscuits were made to provide healthy food. The unit was set up in collaboration with ITDA. Women are saying business is good because of the biscuits of cereal.

These biscuits are made with 12 types of donuts and are made with fiber, calcium, iron and protein. The biscuits they make are made of whole grains. Sprouting of 2 types of cereal. There are nutrients like iron, phosphorus, all kinds of vitamins and proteins. Eating the usual biscuits available in the market. The biscuits these tribal women make are improving health. Those who have never seen cereal grains are taking these biscuits. These tribal women are saying that they are improving their health.

Today, many people quit eating whole grains. With this in mind, ITDA (Comprehensive Tribal Development Agency) has taken the initiative to produce whole grain products. These biscuits were made with tribal women. They were specially trained and assisted in setting up the unit. They help in marketing the products they make. They are marketing their own biscuits. Marketed in Bhubaneswar, Chhattisgarh, Vizag and Vijayawada. Because of the deliciousness.. and selling like Hot cakes. 

They have signed up with Amazon to sell their products online. These women are sharing the profits that they make .. financially. Apart from providing cereal food to the community, many of these tribal women who have paved the way for their employment are inspiring.
