Kurnool: Circle Inspector Somasekhar Reddy and Head Constable Gangadhar were arrested in connection with the suicide of a four-member family at Nandyala town in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district.
Speaking to media, DGP Gautam Sawang said that the CI and Head Constable were already placed under suspension in the case and were arrested on Sunday.
It is to be noted here that auto driver Abdul Salam along with his wife and two children committed suicide by jumping before a moving train on November 3.
A few days after their tragic death, a selfie video shot by the family just moments before their suicide pact went viral in the social media, prompting the AP state police department to order an internal enquiry.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is personally monitoring the progress of the probe and has assured that justice will be delivered at any cost.
