Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh): A government school in Anantapur district's Gooty had an unwelcomed guest 'slithering' on its premises on Sunday morning.
A python, which was reportedly washed away due to the heavy downpour, in the past two days, made its way into the school's premises, triggering panic among the locals.
Vigilant youth, who noticed the serpent, informed the school management, before catching it and handed it over to the forest department officials.
Though, the snake did not harm anyone, the earlier incident of a boy being killed after being bitten by a snake at a school in Dharmavaram, a week ago, had the locals worried about such recurrences.
