Amaravati: The number of active Covid-19 cases again crossed 15,000 in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 1,623 fresh cases were reported in 24 hours ending 9 AM on Sunday. While 1,340 infected people recovered, eight succumbed to the infection, a bulletin said.
The cumulative coronavirus positive cases increased to 20,21,325. After 19,92,256 total recoveries and 13,911 deaths so far, the number of active cases stood at 15,158, the bulletin said. East Godavari district again reported over 300 fresh cases and topped with 342 additions to the tally today.
Chittoor saw 276, SPS Nellore 194, Guntur 151, West Godavari and Krishna 148 each and Prakasam 114. Kadapa witnessed 83, Visakhapatnam 60 while the rest of the districts registered less than 50 new cases each.

Chittoor and Krishna reported two more deaths each and Guntur, SPS Nellore, Prakasam and West Godavari one each.
