Occult worship with naked young women; 12 held at AP's Guntur

A woman, who suffered financial losses in several businesses, took the help of an occult worship gang to perform puja with naked young women to remove bad luck and get easy money. When the gangsters sexually assaulted the women, they escaped and informed the police leading to the arrest of the 12-member occult gang at Andhra Pradesh's Guntur.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) : The Nallapadu police in Guntur district have arrested a gang that performed occult worship with naked young women. Among those arrested is Pujari Nageswara Rao, the priest who performed the puja rituals for this forbidden worship. The gangsters offered Rs 1 lakh and more for the young women who came forward to sit and take part in this puja. The practitioners of this were only seeking blessings for easy money.

The other arrested members of the occult gang are Nagendra Babu (Ponnekallu), Aravinda, Radha (Chilakaluripet), Suresh (Guntur), Bhaskar, Peddireddy, Sagar, Shiva, Sunil, Pawan, Subbulu (Nandyala district). DSP Mahbub Basha disclosed the details of this case in Guntur on Sunday. Pujari Nageswara Rao belongs to Ponnekallu of Tadikonda Mandal. Aravinda, a woman from Chilakaluripet who suffered financial losses in several businesses, approached Pujari.

The two met through social media. They devised a scheme to perform occult pujas to earn easy money and overcome financial problems. Aravinda and the priest Nageswara Rao told a man named Nagendra that if they brought young women to sit naked in the puja, they would pay Rs one lakh. Nagendra and his friend Suresh convinced the two young women from poor families in the Nandyala district by promising them money.

Aravinda took them to the priest Nageswara Rao. Puja was performed with them. Later, the priest and his followers sexually assaulted the women. When the young women resisted their moves, the gangsters threatened them, put them in a car, and headed towards Guntur. However, the young women escaped near Gorantla and approached the police through the Disha app. The Nallapadu police immediately went to the spot and arrested the priest and his followers.
