Tokyo: Athletes across the world braved the pandemic fear of Covid infection yet came to participate in the Games here. They aim to win a medal, which is a culmination of their five years of hard work.

So after the end of Day 9, who goes up, and where does India stand on the tally?

China currently occupies the pole position with 21 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze, while India went down to the 60th position with one silver to its credit. In the meantime, Japan remains at the second position as China's superb performance helped it grab the top rank. The USA, in the meantime, finished Day 9 at the third position.
