Los Angles: American gymnast Nia Dennis has won a lot of praise from the celebrity world for a routine that she dedicated to black culture.
Rapper Missy Elliott and four-time Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles lauded the UCLA student with her routine racking up millions of views on social media over the weekend.
Dennis, a senior at UCLA, dedicated her latest routine to the black culture before adding that the routine was a celebration as well as a tribute to Los Angeles.
“This routine definitely reflects everything that I am today as a woman,” Dennis was quoted as saying by a leading Los Angles Daily.
“And of course I had to incorporate a lot of parts of my culture. I wanted to have a dance party because that’s my personality and of course I had to shout out LA because we out here, UCLA,” Dennis added.
