Texas (USA): Denmark's Lucas Bjerregaard knocked Tiger Woods out of the World Match Play championship at the quarter-final stage in Austin, Texas on Saturday.
The 27-year-old Bjerregaard fought back from two down on the outward nine to get all square by the tenth, Woods led again by the 11th, but a 30-foot eagle putt at the 16th indicated the momentum had shifted Bjerregaard's way.
Woods found sand at the 18th and had a 4-foot putt to halve the hole and force a play-off, but the ball stayed above ground and Bjerregaard booked his place in the semi-finals.
There he will face Matt Kuchar of the United States, who beat an often ill-tempered Sergio Garcia 2up, also on the final green.
In the other half of the draw, Italy's Francesco Molinari will take on American Kevin Kisner.
Molinari thrashed Kevin Na of the United States 6-and-5, while Kisner battled back to overcome South Africa's Louis Oosthuisen 2-and-1.
