Poznan Athletics Grand Prix: Hima wins Gold, Vismaya bags Bronze

Poznan (Poland): Indian star sprinter Hima Das won the women's 200m gold in the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix at Poznan, Poland, on tuesday night. Her compatriot V. K. Vismaya pipped Poland's Iga Baumgart-Witan to finish third in the very same race.

Hima, who has a personal best of 23.10s in 200m, clocked 23.65s on her way to the gold medal. V. K. Vismaya, on the other hand, recorded her personal best of 23.75s in the 200m en-route to her bronze-winning run.

Meanwhile, national 400m record holder, Muhammed Anas, won bronze in the men's 200m with a season-best sprint of 20.75s. K. S. Jeevan also won the men's 400m bronze following a 47.25s finish.

India won yet another bronze medal after Tajinder Pal Singh Toor took the men's shot put bronze with a fourth round effort of 19.62m.
