Bhopal: National Swimming Championship 2019 has begun today at Prakash Taran Pushkar Bhavan in Bhopal. It is selection trials for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The competition has started today morning. On the occasion of this championship, Swimming Federation of India CEO Virendra Nanavati, who is in Bhopal to oversee the tournament, said that many swimmers including Indian star swimmer Virdhawal Khade and Srihari Natarajan are taking part in this competition.

He also said that the national swimming federation is also going to organise Asian Age Group Championships 2019 in Bengaluru from September 24, 2019, to October 2, 2019.
Swimmers from 35 countries will take part in this event. India last hosted this compeititon in 1999.
