5th Indian Grand Prix: Dutee sends special video to ETV BHARAT after clinching gold

Hyderabad: Indian star sprinter Dutee Chand clinched gold in 100 metres race at the 5th Indian Grand Prix. After her podium finish at the event, Dutee sent a special video to ETV Bharat stating her visa problems.

Dutee states, "I came here to participate at the 5th Indian Grand Prix. All is well. I won gold after finishing at the pole position with 11.42 seconds. I believe, I can do better. We had just 3 participants for the final."

She further said, "If I would have participated in Europe then I would have performed much better, however, I had to missout due to visa issues. I will try to perform better at World Championships, all I need is your support and blessings."

The qualifying timings for World Championships is 11.24 seconds while the cut-off timings for the 2020 Olympics is 11.15 seconds. Dutee had earlier finished the Asian Championship at 11.26 seconds.
