Ipoh: India thrashed Canada 7-3 in their fourth game of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2019 here in Malaysia on Wednesday.

Men in Blue took the lead in the 12th minute courtesy dragflicker Varun Kumar.
Striker Mandeep Singh scored a hattrick to make it 4-0 before half-time.
However, Canada pulled one back with a help of a penalty corner.

Soon, Amit Rohidas joined the party for India to make it 5-1 in their favour.
Canada tried to reduce the deficit as they scored another goal but it was too little too late as Vivek Prasad made it 6-2. The Canadian pulled another consolation goal before Nilakanta Sharma scored India's 7th goal in the encounter.
India will take on Poland in their final group game on March 29.
