Dortmund: Erling Haaland along Borussia Dortmund trained on Thursday, continuing preparations for Saturday's resumption of the 2019-20 German Bundesliga season and a local derby against Schalke.
The German top flight, which has been suspended since March 13th due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be the first of Europe's big leagues to return to play.
All 18 Bundesliga clubs will be back in action from Saturday to Monday, with the nine fixtures being played behind closed doors.
Dortmund will return to their Westfalenstadion home on the weekend sitting second in the Bundesliga standings, four points behind rivals Bayern Munich.
The club have reportedly placed a £130-million pound ($158.5-million US dollar) price tag on Erling Braut Haaland, with Real Madrid and Manchester United apparently interested in signing the teenager.
Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has granted permission for the Bundesliga to resume behind closed doors with strict hygiene measures, plus regular testing of players and backroom staff.
While second-placed Borussia Dortmund host arch rivals Schalke in the Ruhr derby in the pick of the matches on the first day back on Saturday, defending champions Bayern Munich, who sit four points clear of Dortmund, will travel to face Union Berlin on the Sunday.
Interestingly, the Bundesliga will be the first of Europe's top leagues to restart since the coronavirus pandemic forced lockdown measures across the continent.
