Narender Gehlot became the second youngest Indian International goalscorer as he gave India the lead in the 52nd minute, however, Syrian skipper Firas Alkhatib calmly equalised from the penalty spot in the 78th minute to salvage Syria a point in the match.
Syria had to win this game to qualify for the finals, however a draw with India sent them crashing out of the competition along with the hosts India.
With today's result, DPR Korea are now set to play Tajikistan in the final on July 19.
