Hyderabad: Tendulkar Jr. who bagged his first wicket in Indian Premier League on Tuesday night said he was focused on release, length and line which helped him carry his Mumbai Indians team to victory by bowling out Sun Risers Hyderabad to 178. The Sun Risers fell short of 14 runs against the target of 193. Thanks to the disciplined bowling by Arjun Tendulkar who bowled the last over and Cameron Green who gave only 4 runs off the previous over.
Arjun's father Sachin Tendulkar took to twitter and celebrated both the third win of the Mumbai on the trot and his son's first wicket in the IPL. A superb all-round performance by Mumbai Indians once again. Cameron Green impressed with both bat & ball. Ishan & Tilak’s batting is as good as it gets! The IPL is getting more interesting every day. Great going boys! And finally a Tendulkar has an IPL wicket!, he wrote in Twitter.

Tendulkar's bowling figures were 1/18 in 2.5 overs and his first scalp was Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Tendulkar bowled a full length ball, pitching on off stump, a tempted Kumar who wanted to go over the covers ended up hitting straight to the Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma. An elated Rohit ran to Tendulkar to greet him for the latter's first IPL wicket.
Speaking about his first wicket, Tendulkar Jr. said his focus was on his release, length and length. "Obviously it was great getting my first IPL wicket. I just had to focus on what was in hand, the plan and executing it. Our plan was just to bowl wide and get the long boundary into play, make the batter hit it to the longer side," Tendulkar Jr said.
"I love bowling, I am happy to bowl anytime the captain asks me to and just stick to the team plan and give my best. I just focused on my release, bowling good lengths and lines upfront. If it swings, it's a bonus, if it doesn't, so be it," the 23 year old said. On his interactions with his father over cricket, the Jr. said they talk about cricket, adding "We discuss tactics before the game and he tells me to back what I practise every game."
