Hyderabad: Rain could be the spoilsport as Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium gears up to host the mega Indian Premier League (IPL) final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

Forecasts suggest that light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated places over the state of Telangana.
Hyderabad, which received light rain on Saturday evening, saw searing heat causing pain for the city dwellers in the last couple of weeks. Now, during the match, there is a chance of another spell of rain. The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecasted that the city is likely to witness rain or thundershowers in the evening and also in the night.
The temperature is expected to range from 33 degree Celsius to 41 degree Celsius on Sunday.
During the match hours, the temperatures will slightly drop as it will revolve between 30-33 degree Celsius but it may feel like 33-36 degree Celsius, given the fact that humidity level will surge.
However, due to overcast weather and gutsy wind slow medium pacers will get assistance from the Uppal pitch. The humidity level is expected to be at 38 per cent during the start of the match but in the evening it is likely to shoot up to 53 per cent by the end of the match.

Hence, this weather condition could cause discomfort for players and fans alike.
Rise in humidity level and slightly higher dew point temperatures may lead to wet outfield. So, gripping the ball in the second innings will be a tough job for bowlers. Considering this fact toss will play a crucial role as the team batting second will has a better chance to win the match.
