Earlier, Yuvraj, along with his retirement from international cricket, also announced that he would not be taking part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a player anymore as he wishes to explore other cricket leagues around the world after dedicating the last 12 years of his life just to the IPL.
On Wednesday, the southpaw had written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India seeking permission to ply his trade in the T20 leagues and a report had said that him getting permission wouldn’t be an issue since he had announced his retirement from both international and IPL cricket.
Meanwhile, the second season of the Global T20 Canada will be held in Brampton in July and August. The league will also add a sixth franchise team to replace the West Indies B side that had participated in last year's competition and finished runners-up.
