In one of the deadliest attacks in J&K, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden Scorpio SUV into a CRPF bus killing nearly 45 jawaans and leaving many critically wounded.

As the entire nation stands in solidarity with the families of these Braves, the cricket fraternity expressed grief over the shocking tragedy.
"Really pained by the cowardly attack on our CRPF in J&K in which our brave men have been martyred . No words are enough to describe the pain. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured.#SudharJaaoWarnaSudhaarDenge," Virender Sehwag tweeted.
"Sad and pained to hear about the dastardly attack on our brave CRPF men in #Pulwama in which many of our jawans have been martyred. I pray for a quick and speedy recovery of those injured in the attack," Laxman wrote on Twitter.

More than 2,500 CRPF personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir around 3.15 pm.
The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack that took place about 20 km from Srinagar.
