Karachi: Fans have been snapping up tickets in Karachi as Pakistan prepare to host a rare international cricket series at home.
Sri Lanka are touring Pakistan to play three One-Day Internationals and T20 matches in Karachi and Lahore starting this Friday. The 2nd and 3rd ODI matches will be played on 29th September and 2nd October respectively. The opportunity to see international cricket coming back on home soil have got fans excited in Karachi.
Pakistan has not hosted a test match since March 2009 when Sri Lanka team came under terrorist attack at Lahore that killed eight civilians and injured several Sri Lankan cricketers.
In between the Pakistan Cricket Board have hosted a World XI, Zimbabwe and the West Indies sporadically in Lahore since 2015.
The three-match ODI series will be followed by three Twenty20s in Lahore from Oct. 5-9.
