Hyderabad: When the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) auction takes place in Kolkata on December 19, a total of 332 players will be in the fray for the 73 available spots across the eight IPL teams.

Of the 332, shortlisted from among the 997 players who registered, 186 are Indian, 143 overseas players and three from associate nations.

IPL provides a great platform to young talent cricketers to showcase their skills on a bigger stage. These players also get good bids in the auction before the match as we have seen in past with Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Chakravarthy and Pawan Negi.

So, let's have a look at some of the young players with a low base price which franchise will be eyeing to get in the team.

1. Hanuma Vihari - 50 Lakh

Star India allrounder Hanuma Vihari has cemented his place in national Test team with the help of some extra-ordinary performances in recent past. However, he is yet to showcase his talent in the shortest format of the game. He was bought by Delhi Capitals last year for a whopping price of 2 crores. Hanuma got only two chances in 2019 IPL.

Vihari is in good touch as he has scored a Test century in the West Indies earlier this year. He showed signs of form in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by scoring 46 off 32 balls.

2. Priyam Garg - 20 Lakh

Many franchises will aim to buy current U-19 cricket team captain Priyam Garg. Priyam who comes from the modest family background has cemented himself in the Uttar Pradesh side. In the recently concluded Deodhar Trophy final he scored 77 balls 74 runs.

Priyam has a first-class double hundred and a List A century to his name. He was a part of the India C team that finished runner-up in the Deodhar Trophy.

The right-handed top-order batsman, he scored 800-plus runs in his debut Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season for Uttar Pradesh, scored a century in his debut game against Goa.

The right-hand batsman might not make straight into playing xi of an IPL team but he will definitely be in the top uncapped player's list.

3. Virat Singh - 20 Lakhs

Virat Singh is a top-order left-hand batsman which makes him an interesting prospect. Virat made his debut for the Jharkhand under-19s at the age of 14, in the 2012–13 edition of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.

Virat Singh scored 343 runs in just 10 innings at an outstanding average of 57.16. Not just that but he struck the ball at 142.32 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He made three half-centuries, including an unbeaten 76 off 44 balls vs eventual champions Karnataka, showing his appetite for the big stage.

4. Yashasvi Jaiswal - 20 Lakh

Mumbai teenager Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his way into the record books by becoming the youngest player to score a List-A double century. With this knock, he caught the eyes of IPL team owner.

The left-hand batsman has smashed 25 sixes in six Vijay Hazare Trophy matches this season. T20 is game of big hitters and looking at Yashasvi's big-hitting capacity, he can be in top buys of the season.

5. Jalaj Saxena - 30 Lakh

Many teams in this years IPL are looking for players who can bowl a bit and hit big as well. And Jalaj Saxena is the best in the picture for the role. Jalaj is one of the most consistent cricketers in the domestic circuit but he has found it difficult to make it into Indian team as well as an IPL team.
