The Kerala speedster also spoke about former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi while also expressing his desire to play foreign leagues. In this exclusive interview, Sreesanth also shed lights on his seven-year ban from cricket.

Whose wicket would you cherish the most? Virat Kohli or Steve Smith?

To this Sreesanth replied, “I would like to get Virat Kohli out. Steven is a kid infront of Virat Kohli, thus we shoudn’t compare both of them. Virat is on another level. I will not support Australian player, whether it is Ricky Ponting or Steve Smith. Even if you ask me who is better in terms of batting between Jasprit Bumrah and Smith, I would choose Bumrah as the better batsman.”

Sreesanth also spoke about former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi

When asked who would be his favourite wicket from the Pakistan team, Sreesanth said “Whatever team I play against, I like to get their skipper out. But I have never scalped the wicket of Shahid Afridi. Afridi always used to get out to Irfan Pathan. Whenever Afridi used to come to bat, Irfan used to go to Dhoni and used to ask to bowl.”

On playing foreign league, Sreesanth said, "Everything is in the hands of BCCI. The Kerala Cricket Association is supporting me. I will accept whatever Dada (Sourav Ganguly) decides. It will be amazing if he agrees. England are starting with The Hundred. Then there are leagues in the Caribbean Islands and New Zealand. So if we get a chance to play there after the domestic season, it would be of great help for many cricketers.”

Do you have any regret on your 7-year-ban?

To this Sreesanth said, “I want to tell to everybody that there should be no regrets. Never think why all these happened to me. When I caught that catch (2007 T20 World Cup Final), I did not ask why I caught it. Then how can I question why did it happened to me. I had to go through bad times even without my mistake. You should think that if you have not hurt anyone, then there should be confidence that if not today I will come back tomorrow. Now I have more confidence and self-belief on myself. This also made me realise who is with me and who isn’t.”
