Despite the defeat of PV Sindhu and Saurabh Verma, Hyderabad Hunters defeated the Northeast Warriors 2–1.

Hyderabad: Michelle Li of the Northeastern Warriors defeated Hyderabad Hunters star player PV Sindhu in the fifth season of the Premier Badminton League played at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in the (PBL) on Wednesday. But despite her heroic's the visiting team could not win the match.

Michelle Li won 15–8, 15–9 against Sindhu. This is Sindhu's first defeat of this season. After this defeat, Hyderabad were trailing 2-0.
