Varun Dhawan donates to help daily wage workers of film industry on birthday

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan celebrated his birthday on April 24. On this occasion, the actor made a contribution to the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE). Expressing gratitude for Varun's kind gesture, Ashoke Pandit, who is the chief advisor of FWICE thanked the actor on social media.

Mumbai: On the occasion of his 33rd birthday, Varun Dhawan extended his support to daily wage workers under the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

Ashoke Pandit who is the chief advisor of FWICE took to Twitter to thank Varun Dhawan for his contribution. Sharing a video message for Varun, he wrote, "@fwice_mum thanks @Varun_dvn for donating towards the daily wage workers of the entertainment industry. Nearly 5 lakh cine workers, belonging to 32 crafts, wish him a very Happy Birthday. #HappyBirthdayVarunDhawan #FWICEFightsCorona"

In other news, Varun has provided free meals for doctors and healthcare staff who are leading the nation's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The actor followed in Ajay Devgn's footsteps, who had previously contributed Rs. 51 lakhs to FWICE on his birthday on April 2.

On the film front, he was last seen on screen in Street Dancer 3D. He will next be seen opposite Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No. 1. The film is a remake of the Govinda-Karisma Kapoor starrer of the same name that released in 1997 and was directed by Varun's father David Dhawan, who also calls the shots on the new version.
