Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty were to star in Rumi Jaffery's movie

Screenwriter Rumi Jaffery revealed that he had roped in Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty for his untitled film, shooting of which was slated to begin in May. However, the director confessed that he may never make it as it was written keeping Sushant in mind.

Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput and rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty were supposed to feature together in writer-director Rumy Jaffery's untitled directorial.

The shooting for the project was expected to start in May this year.

Since Sushant was a huge Shah Rukh Khan and Govinda fan, the director had plans of exploring Sushant's dancing skills.

Speaking about the Kai Po Che! actor's outing in the film, Rumi said: "A rom-com, it was to explore Sushant’s dancing skills. He was a fantastic dancer and my film would have showcased him in a different light. He loved Shah Rukh Khan’s acting and Govinda’s dance and that’s why I had a full-fledged dance number with Govinda-style moves planned for our mahurat."

The filmmaker has also confessed that he might never make the movie for it was written for Sushant. "I may never make it; it was written keeping Sushant in mind," he said.

Rumi further revealed that the late actor was reading the script during the lockdown and was looking forward to "a joint narration." "He would get upset because he wanted to get back to work and rehearse," told the director.

Rumi Jaffery also revealed that Sushant who did not have "too many friends in the industry," promised to catch up with him "soon." The last message he wrote to the director was "four hearts and 'love you sir'."
