Mumbai: A week after criticizing the Indian media for dragging his name in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, actor Sooraj Pancholi has now filed a complaint at the Versova police station claiming that he has been harassed by those carrying unverified news reports linking him to the deaths of Disha Salian and Sushant.

"Sooraj has been harassed since Sushant and Disha’s deaths, owing to fake news that was carried by sections of media, social media, and YouTube. He has filed a complaint against certain media houses, Youtubers, and certain people who have been spreading fake news and conspiracy theories on Facebook. He wants the rumour mongers to be accountable for the mental harassment caused to him, and also, they must prove the baseless charges levelled against him," a source close to Sooraj told a leading portal.
As per reports, he has filed a complaint against certain sections of media, YouTubers, and some other people for spreading conspiracy theories and fake news on social media.

A few days ago, the Hero starrer had completely dismissed any reports that claim he was involved in Disha's death case. The actor clarified that he did not party with actor Sushant a night before his death.
"I am trying to stay positive right now. You know, as strong and as positive as I can be, I don’t discuss this with my family because I know they are already in a lot of stress because of me, thinking about me all the time. In fact, my mother thinks that I’m going to harm myself. And she has spoken to me a couple of times. Even after Sushant’s death, she spoke to me saying, ‘Sooraj, whatever it is, if there’s anything in your heart please come and talk to us. Don’t be quiet,’" he said.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the case from Mumbai Police and will be investigating in the matter. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday has grilled Rhea Chakraborty, his father and brother over an FIR filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh.
