Mumbai: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is preparing herself thoroughly to get into the skin of the ace shuttler Saina Nehwal in her upcoming biopic.

The actress is all set to portray the roller-coaster life of the badminton player in the film titled 'Saina'. The makers of the movie will commence shooting from October 2019.

The 30-year-old actress took to her social media to share the news related to her forthcoming film.

Sharing a couple of pictures, where she is seen practising rigorously, Parineeti wrote on Instagram: "Before ........ and After! ? @nehwalsaina HOW DO YOU DO THIS!#SainaNehwalBiopic #Training #ShootsStartsInOctober"

Learning the art of playing the game, the actress also shared the same on Twitter.

Following the exit of Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra has been roped in as the lead for the film. Directed by Amol Gupte, the film is expected to release next year.

Having Parineeti on board, producer Bhushan Kumar said: "We want to wrap up 'Saina' by this year-end for an early 2020 release, so going ahead with the project is a decision taken by mutual consent. We are glad Parineeti has come on board for the film. Saina has made every Indian proud and we can't wait to take her story to the world in the year of the Olympics."

Portraying a sports personality on screen, Parineeti said: "It's a part of my personality as an actor that I have never explored, and I am so happy that I get to portray a strong and powerful girl like Saina. She has put our country on the world map and I am excited to put in all the training and hard work that comes with learning the game of Badminton and portraying Saina on screen."

In other news, Parineeti will next be seen in 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', 'Jabariya Jodi', 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' and the Hindi remake of 'The Girl On The Train'.
