Mumbai: Rana Daggubati is apparently in no mood to take baby steps when it comes to his relationship with Miheeka Bajaja is concerned. If reports are to be believed, the Baahubali star will enter the wedlock come August.

According to reports, Rana's father and Telugu film industry heavyweight Suresh Babu confirmed that the couple will tie the knot this year on August 8 in Hyderabad.

Both the families would have opted for an elaborate wedding celebration had the world was not under the scourge of coronavirus. Keeping the current situation in mind, the ceremony will take place according to the guidelines set by the government to control the spread of the deadly virus.

For unversed, Rana and Miheeka had a roka ceremony on May 21, precisely nine days after she said "yes" when he popped the big question.

Rana had made his relationship with Miheeka public with their picture together on Instagram. "And she said yes! #MiheekaBajaj." He used a red heart emoji along with his caption.

The couple then took the fans by another surprise when they shared moments from the private function on social media.

"And it's official, the Leader star wrote on Instagram while sharing a happy picture of the couple. For the daytime ceremony, the couple opted for a colourful, floral decor and fairy lights.

In the photographs, Rana was seen beaming with joy in a white shirt with a matching white dhoti. Miheeka looks stunning in an orange-gold sari with yellow and pink border, teamed with a heavily-embellished blouse and chunky ethnic jewellery. She left her hair open and wore subtle make-up.

Miheeka, who is founder of Mumbai-based Dew Drop Design Studio, also took to Instagram to share her "beginning of forever" moment. She also put a photograph on Instagram Story, writing: "Officially mine!"

While many speculated that the couple got engaged, Rana posted a screenshot of a chat on Instagram Story to share that it was a roka ceremony.

Earlier reports suggested that the duo will tie the knot in December but now it seems the Daggubatis and Bajajs are eagerly looking forward to the union of Rana and Miheeka and have decided to get them married sooner.
