Mumbai: Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan will be seen in remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Pink which will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.

After the success of Nerkonda Paarvai, Tamil remake of Pink, Boney is all set to produce the critically acclaimed film for Telugu audience.

The Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directorial which released in 2016 will be now helmed by Sriram venu in Telugu.

In the courtroom drama, Amitabh played reputable and respected lawyer Deepak Sehgal. While in Tamil the character was played by Ajith, the Telugu remake will be backed by star power of Kalyan.

Pink was headlined by Taapsee, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. A thespian like Big B extended tremendous support to the leading actors while keeping significance of his performance intact.

But, when it came to the Tamil remake, apparently the narration had to alter a bit to match the stardom that Ajith enjoys in down south.

Similarly, Pawan Kalyan too is a celebrated name in the Telugu filmdom. Now, it will be interesting to see if the essence of Bachchan's character is left untouched or tempered to suit the sensibilities of Telugu audience.

Pawan Kalyan was last seen in 2018 release Agnyaathavaasi.
