Hyderabad: Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film with Kabir Singh helmer Sandeep Vanga Reddy was reportedly titled Devil. Latest updates from the project, however, suggest that the makers have opted for a new title as Devil has been registered with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.
Sandeep's Hindi debut Kabir Singh outdid the commercial success of his Telugu debut Arjun Reddy and consequently, an almost overnight success opened whole new avenues of opportunity for him in Bollywood. The filmmaker is said to be reuniting with T-Series for a film headlined by Ranbir. In last September, at the trailer launch of Marjaavaan, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar had confirmed his reunion with Vanga.

Sandeep and Ranbir's much-awaited dark crime thriller will no longer be called Devil. The makers have decided to change the title since Devil has been registered with Sajid Nadiadwala who is not willing to part with the title rights. The chief of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is reportedly considering to use the title for the sequel of Salman Khan starrer Kick.
Now left with no choice than changing the title, the makers of Ranbir's film has locked Animal as the new title for the rustic, gangster drama. The film will go on floors once Ranbir wraps up Brahmastra and Shamshera.
