Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently faced severe backlashes from a major section of the netizens as he left his mother Neetu Kapoor to stay with girlfriend Alia Bhatt in times of emotional crisis.
On Tuesday, the Sanju actor was seen arriving with Alia at the prayer meeting held in honour of his late father and actor Rishi Kapoor.
His act did not go down well with a section of netizens.
While a user wrote: "Ranbir couldn’t even stay with his Mom & Sister at this time. Disheartening - Anyways RIP Rishi Kapoor."
Another commented: "Stay with your mom Ranbir."
A social media user even questioned him for leaving his family and wrote: "Y isn’t he living with his family ridhmaa came all over from Delhi very sad!"

Another suggested: "It’s a tym he should be with his mom and sister..."
"Ranbir should be at home with mother. She always loved him. Why did he leave his mother alone?," wrote another user.
Following the demise of Rishi Kapoor on April 30, the family held a prayer ceremony on the occasion of Terahvi - 13th day following his death - at their home in Mumbai.
The prayer meeting was attended by close friends and family members, including Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor and Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
