Under the directorship of chef Vikas Khanna, the Badhaai Ho actress has bagged two awards for the film on widows of Vrindavan and Varanasi.

Neena Gupta wins dual awards at IIFFB

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Neena Gupta has won two awards for the film The Last Color at the Indian International Film Festival of Boston.

The 60-year-old actress has clocked up the dual win in the Best Feature Film category and the Best Actor category.

Announcing the news of the double victory, the actress took to her social media to thank her fans and admirers for the constant love and support that they have showered upon her.

Sharing the same, she wrote on Instagram: "Super proud of our big victory at #IIFFB2019, BOSTON tonight. Best Feature Film - The Last Color. Best Actress - Neena Gupta. Thank you all for your love and support."

The Badhaai Ho actress has also put up the pictures of the awards on her Instagram stories.

The film helmed by world-renowned chef Vikas Khanna marked his directorial debut in the filmdom. Khannas' directorial venture The Last Color deals with the taboo surrounding the widows in India especially focusing on Varanasi and Vrindavan.

The film's first look was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival. The has travelled around the world to various film festivals including New York Indian Film Festival 2019 and Indie Meme Film Festival among others.

Earlier, the film had also fetched Audience Award and Director's Vision Award at the Indisches Film Festival Stuttgart in Germany.
