Hyderabad: The Navarasa trailer is out with a promise of a cinematic marvel and a landmark moment of cultural pride for the Tamil entertainment industry as the finest and most acclaimed talent has come together to bring this project to life. After piquing the interest of cinephiles with the intriguing teaser, the makers have now dropped an enticing trailer of Navarasa, an anthology that brings the best of South industry in one project.
On Tuesday morning, Netflix India dropped the Navarasa trailer on their official social media handles. Soon after the trailer release, Navarasa started trending on Twitter with positive chatter around the anthology which is put together by Filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan.

Navarasa is primarily based on the nine rasas or emotions. In sync with the theme, nine short films will narrate stories across nine emotions -- anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder. Directors Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Ponram, Rathindran Prasad and Halitha Shameem are on board to bring their distinctive perspective on each rasa.
The short films will feature over 40 cast members and several hundred creative and film technicians. The cast and crew involved in the project have offered their services pro bono, with the objective of supporting the COVID-hit Tamil film industry. Navarasa premiers on August 6 on Netflix.
