Hyderabad: After receiving rave response from the movie buffs and critics, South superstar Mohanlal's 'Lucifer' is inching close to enter the 100 crore club. The film has already racked up Rs 88 crore worldwide in just eight days.
According to trade analysts, it is the fastest Malayalam film to earn Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend.
'Lucifer' makers the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is bankrolled by Aashirvad Cinemas.
Apart from Mohanlal, the movie also casts Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar and Fazil in pivotal roles.
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is also seen in the film playing the antagonist avatar.
