Mumbai: After the intriguing posters, the makers of Marjaavaan dropped the much-awaited trailer featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh as competitive rivals.

Taking to his Twitter on Thursday, Sidharth shared the trailer with the caption, "Raavan ke dus sarr ke liye ek teer hi kaafi hai."

The actor refers to the character of Riteish who plays the antagonist in the film metaphor as Raavan for his devilish motives.

The trailer begins with a hard-hitting monologue by Sidharth's character Raghu while he kicks down several goons from his rival gang followed by the entry of Tara Sutaria who plays his love interest in the film.

After a few sequences of their whirlwind romance, the love story takes a tragic turn with the arrival of Riteish's character who introduces himself as a wicked 3-feet-tall incarnation of a devil.

He asks Raghu to leave his love threatening to kill him and her lover Zoya played by Tara. Following that, a series of disturbing events happen in Raghu's life which makes him thirsty for revenge from his rival.

The trailer is filled with some great punch lines and crazy face-off scenes. While Sidharth looked appealing in his rugged avatar, Riteish is flawless as a ruthless dwarf.

Rakul Preet Singh also makes an appearance in the trailer and going by her ensemble and body language, it seems like she plays a bar dancer in the film.

Marjaavan is an intense love story helmed by Milap Milan Zaveri and produced by T-series and Emmay Entertainment. The film reunites Milap with Riteish and Sidharth after four years of 2014 action-thriller Ek Villain.

While Sidharth has earlier worked with Rakul in Aiyaary, this will be the first time that the actor will be seen with rumoured girlfriend Tara.

Marjaavaan is slated to hit the big screens on November 8.
