Lata Mangeshkar's condition reported stable, to be kept in ICU for a few more days

Veteran playback singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has been reported to be in a stable condition by Dr. Pratit Samadhani from the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Mangeshkar, who has developed pneumonia in addition to COVID is in the intensive care unit for the past week.

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Lata Mangeshkar, who is undergoing treatment for the coronavirus infection and pneumonia at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, has been reported stable although under the intensive care unit. As informed by Dr. Pratit Samadhani, the well-known singer who was admitted on Monday for pneumonia had tested positive for the Covid-19 virus later and has shown improvements in her condition since then.

Dr Samadhani further informed that although her condition is stable, she will have to be kept in the intensive care unit for a few more days. He ensured that a team of competent doctors is taking care of her condition, while also appealing to her fans to pray for her longevity.

The veteran singer had tested positive for corona on January 8, after which she has been under medical surveillance across the past week.
