Hyderabad: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will shoot for the final schedule of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha in Ladakh. Khan will be joined by Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya for an extensive war sequence.

The Laal Singh Chaddha team was waiting for the snow to melt so that they can go ahead and shoot the Kargil war sequence in May and June. This sequence is of great importance to the film's plot hence Aamir decided to bring action director Parvez Shaikh to design the grand battlefield sequence. Parvez had earlier directed high octane action sequences for Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War.

On May 6, Aamir, Parvez and few other members from the team jetted off to Ladakh and returned to Mumbai last week after finding the best-suited locations for war scenes. The film is an official remake of the 1994 Hollywood hit Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks. Naga Chaitanya who is said to play Benjamin Buford Blue aka Bubba from the original will be joining Aamir in Ladakh for nearly a month-long schedule.

Besides essaying the title role, Aamir has produced the film, which also features Kareena Kapoor Khan. Laal Singh Chaddha directed by Advait Chandan is scheduled to release around Christmas this year. The release, however, may defer depending upon the upcoming schedule and COVID situation in the country.
