Laal Kaptaan trailer: Saif's ruthless avatar will give you chills

The trailer of Saif Ali Khan starrer Laal Kaptaan released on Tuesday. Directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Anand L Rai, the film is slated to release on October 18.

Mumbai: Anand L Rai unveiled the first trailer of his upcoming production Laal Kaptaan starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The trailer sees Saif as a Naga Sadhu talking about the game of life and death.

Taking to his Twitter on Tuesday, the producer-director wrote, "From ashes to ashes, from dust to dust - no hiding from #LaalKaptaan's vengeance, in this we trust. The deadly HUNT has begun! Be a part of his journey."

The trailer gives a sneak-peek into Saif's thirst for revenge as he is seen covered in ashes with a voice-over by him talking about how death follows a man right from the moment he is born.

Referring to Yamraj, the Hindu God of death, Saif says that as soon as a man is born, death mounts his ox and begins a journey to bring the man back.

In one of the scenes, Saif's character can be seen dragging a dead man behind his horse through a town with the fire of rage in his eyes.

The spine-chilling scene is followed by a voice-over by Sonakshi Sinha who introduces Saif's character as a man who sticks to his prey and doesn't leave him until he is dead.

Saif looks intense and powerful in his never-seen-before avatar with ashes smeared across his face and thick dreadlocks falling on his back.

It looks like the film is set during the pre-Independence era as a few British soldiers can be seen in the trailer.

Laal Kaptaan is directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Anand L Rai and Eros International. The film will hit the big screens on October 18.
