Irrfan Khan returns to India post successful surgery

Mumbai: Following the wrap up of his upcoming film, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has returned to India after undergoing a successful surgery in London.

Feeling homesick, the actor will be staying in the city of dreams for a few days.

In a recent statement, Irrfan's spokesperson said: "Irrfan had a successful surgery after wrapping #AngreziMedium shoot in London."

His spokesperson further said: "He was missing home and has come to Mumbai for a few days to recover. We request the media to not speculate, thanking everyone for their support."

Earlier, in March 2018, the Inferno actor was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour.

On April 3, Irrfan took to his Twitter handle to thank everyone for their affection and constant support.

The forthcoming film Angrezi Medium will mark his comeback after a brief break that the Qarib Qarib Singlle actor took for the treatment.

Besides Irrfan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Radhika Madan and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.

The film which has hit the floors in Udaipur on April 5 will feature Kareena in the role of a cop while Radhika will essay the character of Irrfan's daughter.

Sharing a picture from the film's set, the actor had earlier introduced his character Champak on his social media.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film is a sequel to the 2017 hit movie Hindi Medium.

Meanwhile, the actor has several interesting projects lined up. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani, the actor will be featured in his next titled Good News.
