Hyderabad: Internet sensation CarryMinati, whose real name is Ajey Nagar, will be making a splash in Bollywood with Ajay Devgn's directorial venture MayDay. CarryMinati will be joining Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Angira Dhar in the film which is billed as the edge-of-the-seat drama.
The YouTube star, who has been roped in to play a key role in MayDay, said that he was meaning to align forces with producer Kumar Mangat Pathak for a while now, reported a leading webloid. The online sensation is excited to see how his acting career unfolds as he is reportedly playing his real self, which is CarryMinati, in the thriller.

When asked whether he would like to switch the platform, CarryMinati, who has 27.5 mn subscribers on YouTube, said that he has no plans as such but is excited to be around megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Devgn as he admires them as artists.
MayDay marks Devgn's return to direction after Shivaay and U Me Aur Hum. Besides directing, he will also produce the film and feature in a lead role. Unconfirmed sources reveal that Ajay might play a pilot in the film while Rakul Preet will be seen as a co-pilot in the edge-of-the-seat drama.

The film industry, which was earlier collaborating with the social media stars for promotions is now taking the reach of these internet sensations more seriously. Besides CarryMinati, another YouTuber who has already embarked on her Bollywood journey is Prajakta Koli, who also goes by the moniker Mostly Sane. She will be seen in Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jug Jug Jeeyo which is directed by Raj Mehta.
