Mumbai: Bollywood actor Huma Qureshi clocked her 34th birthday on Tuesday. Born on July 28, 1986, Huma grew up to be History buff and pursued a degree on the subject from Delhi University.
Huma's love for acting gradually grew during her college days. While studying at Gargi College in Delhi, she associated herself with a theatre group and enhanced her skills in acting.
Before appearing in films, Huma did a couple of stints in the world of advertisements.
It was during one such advertisement that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap discovered her as a new face. Seeing a spark in her, the director-cum-producer zeroed down on her and decided to cast her in his directorial Gangs of Wasseypur. The film came out in 2012 and became a hit among the audience.
She hit the headlines several times for her outing in the film.
Within a short span of time, the actor cemented her place in the industry. After Gangs of Wasseypur, Huma appeared in several critically acclaimed films such as D-Day, Dedh Ishqiya, Jolly LLB 2 and Kaala among others.
On the personal front, as per industry grapevine, Huma was linked to Anurag Kashyap. The former reportedly was also held responsible for the latter's sour relationship with Kalki Koechlin. However, the trio always remained tight-lipped on the matter. On the other hand, when asked about the same, Anurag and Kalki justified a lack of mutual understanding to be the reason for an abrupt end to their marriage.

Later on, Huma's name was also associated with the Bobby Jasoos actor Arjan Bajwa. The relationship too did not last long. The duo parted ways after dating for a while. Her current relationship with director Mudassar Aziz has been the talk of the town, on and off.
Deviating from the conventional pattern of actors, Huma has always kept it unique and path-breaking, be it in terms of choosing projects or maintaining her image in front of the camera.
If we talk of body images, the actor is an advocate of keeping herself fit and has always prefered to retain her natural curves rather than getting trapped in the 'size zero' trend.
On the work front, Huma Qureshi, who was last seen in a web series Laila, will be coming up with a line of interesting projects.
Among the titles in the line-up, Huma will next be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom, a film which is scheduled to release next year.
On her special day, ETV Bharat extends best wishes for her future endeavours.
