Mumbai: Tamil superstar Dhanush recently visited his hometown Muthuranga Puram to offer prayers at his ancestral temple in Theni, a district in Tamil Nadu.
On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the actor turned singer worshipped the Lord with his family.
The actor was accompanied by his wife Aishwarya and sons Linga and Yatra. Danush's father and his mother also came along with him to worship the Lord at their ancestral temple on Friday.
The Raanjhanaa actor and his entire family worshipped Goddess Kasturi Mangammal on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri.
Fans thronged outside the temple to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. Many of them even clicked selfies with the actor. Greeting fans, Dhanush waved hands at the crowd waiting outside.

Earlier on Friday, Dhanush had also extended wishes towards his fans for Maha Shivratri on Twitter.
On the work front, Dhanush is busy working with Pariyerum Perumal fame director Mari Selvaraj for his upcoming directorial titled Karnan.
He has another project titled Jagame Thanthiram with Karthik Subbaraj lined up. The motion picture of the film has already hit the internet.
