Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey's forthcoming film 'Chhapaak' is in the news right from the word go. The film is again making headlines for several photographs and videos which leaked from the sets. After Deepika's video in school uniform, now her kissing scene with Vikrant is doing rounds of the internet.
In a viral video, Deepika and Vikrant are seen locking lips on terrace of a residential colony. The video apparently captured by some enthusiastic fan later landed on fan pages and in no time was allover the internet.
Earlier, Deepika's school girl avatar from 'Chhapaak' did rounds of the social media. The actress looked adorable donning a blue and white school uniform. A braid, backpack and white canvas shoes helped the 33-year-old actress look like a school goer.
With 'Chhapaak', director Meghna Gulzar, who is known for her deft handling of sensitive subjects, has given Deepika a chance to raise the bar for her already versatile filmography by playing an acid attack survivor who looks beyond her scars with "immense courage and strength in the face of crippling adversity".
For unversed, Laxmi Agarwal was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover in 2005. Agarwal had to undergo several surgeries. Later, she took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop such attacks. Her attacker, a 32-year old man, was an acquaintance of her family. Agarwal is a well-known advocate of stricter punishments in acid attack cases.
'Chhapaak' is being co-produced by Deepika and Fox Star Studios.
