COVID-19: Randhir Kapoor discharged from hospital, advised to 'keep away' from family

Randhir Kapoor, who was hospitalised after being tested positive for COVID-19 has returned home and thanked the hospital staff for their fantastic service. Randhir is advised to 'keep away' from family for few days.

COVID-19: Randhir Kapoor discharged from hospital, advised to 'keep away' from family

Hyderabad: Bollywood actor-filmmaker Randhir Kapoor has recovered from COVID-19. Kapoor who was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital later last month has returned home but is yet to meet his family.

Speaking to a leading daily, the actor confirmed has confirmed he is COVID-19 free. Randhir also said that he is back home and feeling absolutely fine.

"I am back home. I am feeling absolutely fine," said the 74-year-old, who is the father of actors Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, and is married to actor Babita. He further revealed that he has been advised to not meet anyone in his family for a few days. The actor said, "I have been advised to keep away. It's just a matter of some more time before I will meet people."

Kapoor, who is the eldest son of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, lost his younger brothers Rishi Kapoor (67) and Rajiv Kapoor, 58, within a span of a year.

On returning home, Randhir expressed gratitude for the hospital staff that looked after him very well. Kapoor said, "I thank the hospital's staff. They were simply fantastic. They looked after me very well". The veteran actor also said that he didn't need oxygen support as there was no complaint of breathlessness at any point.
