Scores of celebrities from the filmdom including Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Parineeti Chopra, Manisha Koirala, Sudhir Mishra, Lata Mangeshkar among many others have mourned the death of Irrfan Khan. The celebrities took to social media to pour condolences for the bereaved family.

Mumbai: Irrfan Khan's untimely death news has left the entire filmdom in a state of shock. The actor who took his last breath on Wednesday in Mumbai was battling a neuroendocrine tumour for two years and was admitted to hospital with colon infection. He was 53.
From filmmakers to actors and other celebrities in B-town, including Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonam Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Parineeti Chopra, Manisha Koirala, Sudhir Mishra, Lata Mangeshkar have mourned over his death.

Calling his untimely demise an unimaginable loss for the film industry, a host of celebrities took to social media to pay tributes to the extraordinary actor.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "Just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan... this is a most disturbing and sad news An incredible talent... a gracious colleague... a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema... left us too soon... creating a huge vacuum Prayers and duas."
