Nepotism row: Alia, Kareena, KJo and others limit comments on Instagram

Since the demise of young and promising actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, nepotism is one word that is much in currency. As netizens are mercilessly trolling 'privilege club', many celebrities have gone off Twitter while few have opted for limiting their comment section on social networking sites.

Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has once again stirred the debate around the alleged practice of nepotism and power play in Bollywood. The film families and star kids are again at the target of netizens who feel that the late actor was insulted in the past and not providing enough opportunities for outsiders.

After facing the wrath of social media, actors Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar have limited the comments on their Instagram account.

To get rid of the negativity on Instagram, the celebrities have restricted their comment section where only their close friends can comment on the posts.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan and her best friend Ananya Panday, who is the daughter of Chunky Panday, have also followed the same to ward themselves from the angry keyboard warriors.

Earlier, Sonam Kapoor had disabled the comment section from her and her father Anil Kapoor's Instagram pages to avoid the barrage of hate.

On a related note, actors Sonakshi Sinha, Saqib Saleem, Aayush Sharma, Zaheer Iqbal, director Shashank Khaitan have bid adieu to Twitter citing bullying, hatred and lack of kindness as reasons.

Rajput, 34, was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. His death has reignited discussions around the struggle of survival in Bollywood, navigating cliques, particularly for outsiders.
