Big B thanks fans for blessings, says 'we fold our hands in gratitude'

Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday took to social media and shared a throwback picture with son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan. The Bollywood veteran also penned a thank you note for all the wishes coming his family's way.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been swept away by the outpouring of love and affection.

Recently in a tweet, senior Bachchan has expressed gratitude towards his fans for sending in best wishes and prayers for the entire family.

On Saturday, the Shahenshah of Bollywood took to Twitter and penned a heartfelt message for his admirers.

"We see your love... we hear your prayers... we fold our hands... in gratitude and thanks," he wrote in his tweet.

Overwhelmed with all the love and prayers, Big B wrote in his blog: "The value of connect is supreme .. the value of your presence is supreme .. the value of all the prayers, the duas, .. from Mandirs, Masjids, Churches, Gurudwaras, from the Synagogues .. that you so generously give reaches us .. and we are overwhelmed by your love and care."

"We are so fortunate to have all of you in our lives .. to give us strength and to tell us each moment that we are not alone .. thank you seems so inadequate .. but it does carry with it much more than what it means in mere letters... Love," he further added.

Speaking about the health condition of the Bachchan family, a hospital source revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya are responding well to the treatment.

"They are in the isolation ward. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will be in the hospital maybe for a day or two. Aishwarya had cough. She is ok now," said the source, further adding, "Aishwarya and Aaradhya will have to be in the hospital for a couple of days."

Amitabh and Abhishek are in the isolation ward since July 11 after they were diagnosed with COVID-19, while Aishwarya and her eight-year-old Aaradhya were shifted to the facility on Friday night, almost a week after they tested positive for the virus.
