Babil Khan drops out of film school to 'give it all to acting'

Late actor Irrfan Khan's elder son Babil Khan has dropped out of filmmaking course to focus on his acting career. The budding actor took to social media to announce his decision on Monday morning.

Hyderabad: Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan, who was studying filmmaking in London, has now decided to drop out of the film school. The budding actor revealed that as of now he wants to focus on his acting career which will kickstart with Anushka Sharma's upcoming production venture Qala for Netflix.

On Monday morning, Babil took to Instagram to announce his decision about 'giving it all' to acting and quitting university. Babil has shared a set of two pictures wherein he is seen engrossed in the process of shooting with a film camera on his shoulder. The aspiring actor has penned an emotional note remembering his friends from the University of Westminster, UK. Babil has also said that he has very few friends in Mumbai.

Announcing his decision of dropping out of Film BA, Babil wrote, "I will miss you so much. My beautiful friends. I have a very tight circle here in Mumbai, literally 2-3 friends in total. You all gave me a home in a strange cold place and made me feel like I belonged. Thank you, I love you. Film BA, dropping out today, with over 120 credits cause I’m giving it all to acting as of now. Goodbye university of Westminster. I love you my truest friends."

Qala aside, Babil has also commenced work on his next project with director Shoojit Sircar. The yet-to-be-titled project also features director Mansoor Khan's daughter Zayn Khan.
