Mumbai: Filmmaker Aanand L Rai and producer Bhushan Kumar have united to make content-driven films which are also backed by strong musical composition.
'Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan', a sequel to the quirky comedy 'Shubh Mangal Savdhaan' will kick-start the 'Tanu Weds Manu' director and Kumar's long-term association.
The stand-alone sequel to the 2017 movie will reportedly deal with a serious subject in a humourous way.
Helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film will also feature the 'Badhaai Ho' actors Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
Speaking about their collaboration, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said: "I had earlier associated with Aanand L Rai for the music of his films 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Zero'."

Praising Rai's musical sense, he further said: "He has a great music sense and now I am delighted to collaborate with him for movies too."
The 'Tumbbad' producer expressed that he is equally excited about the collaboration.
Speaking about their association, Rai stated: "I believe they add tremendously to a film like 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' with their understanding of music and the pulse of the audience."
He further added: "With our combined strengths, we hope to collaborate on scripts that are exciting, empowering and entertaining."
